Dr Fane picked up on the emergency line and coached me over the phone through getting him comfortable but when he got worse I brought him in. She saved his life as she was more than thorough and went above and beyond. We came back after he was stabilized for additional testing and she identified what had been causing his distress that other veterinarian offices in the Denver Metro area could not. I'm very happy with my experiences with Dr Fane and the staff. We’ve had the bad luck of needing multiple after hours emergencies with our pups through the years and Dr Chris’ compassion, expertise, and ability to communicate options and potential outcomes concisely in moments where, as a nervous concerned dog Dad, it’s hard to think clearly is truly top notch. We were visiting for a long weekend with a sick dog. They took great care of her and even helped with an emergency when she had an adverse reaction to medications. Well, today was not the Friday we planned on having. I called the clinic to see if we could get my 11 year old dog, Melo, in who was acting very lethargic and not eating, drinking, or using the bathroom. The clinic staff got him in right away and immediately ran tests/ imaging. Long story short his spleen had a grapefruit sized tumor that completely ruptured and was causing internal bleeding. Despite the risky surgery, Dr Karen Nann was able to save his life. We aren’t out of the woods yet but I’m just grateful for another day with my baby boy!
