Patient Care Team
Registered Veterinary Technicians (RVT)
Kim Froman, RVT, Hospital Manager
Kim joined the PKC team in November 2018 and has about 24 years of experience in the veterinary field. She became a registered technician in 2005 and has worked as a veterinary assistant, a veterinary technician, hospital manager and an adjunct instructor at a veterinary technology program. She values striving for excellence, taking pride in her work, upholding a high standard of veterinary medicine, and client education for their pet’s best care. Her strengths include strong technical skills, leadership, teaching and training among others.
Kim lives here with her husband, twin 15 year old’s, and their two hound mixes Gwen and Roadie. She and her family enjoy spending time together on weekend adventures, skiing, hiking, or just milling about. They’re a close-knit group, and value their time together; whether work or play.
We enjoy drawing from Kim’s experience and we are always happy to learn from her and what she brings to the team.
Holly Degidts, RVT
Holly joined the Pet Kare team shortly after moving to Steamboat in August 2015. She had been working in the veterinary field for 11 years, mostly as a receptionist, where she was raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was so immediately proficient and knowledgeable at our front desk that she became cross-trained as a vet tech shortly thereafter. Recently Holly has became a RVT and we are all so happy for her!
Outside of work, Holly spends all of her time with her vivacious 11-year-old little girl. They enjoy swimming, watching movies, and going to the park. When she gets the chance, Holly’s favorite past time is relaxing. She also enjoys skiing.
Whether charming clients with her bubbly personality at the front desk or running the show with fiery spirit in the back, she has become an indispensable member of our team.
Violet, RVT
Violet was born in New Jersey and lived there for 8 years before moving to Peru, where she spent the next 10 years and started studying Veterinary Medicine and Zootechnics in 2020. In August 2022, she moved to Steamboat Springs to continue her education and follow her dream of working in veterinary medicine. She enrolled at Colorado Mountain College in Spring Valley and graduated on May 3, 2025, with an Associate of Applied Science in Veterinary Technology. As part of her final semester, she completed my externship at Pet Kare Clinic for two months, which turned out to be just what she needed as it confirmed her passion for this field. After graduation, she officially joined the Pet Kare team and couldn’t be happier to continue learning and growing here.
“I’m very proud of my Peruvian roots, my entire family is from Peru, and living there helped shape who I am today. I’m bilingual in Spanish and English and always happy to help anyone who might need support in Spanish. In my free time, I love going to the gym with my boyfriend, trying new restaurants, and walking around downtown.
In the near future, I plan to travel to Peru since I haven’t visited in over a year and I really miss my family. “
Marissa is originally from Los Angeles, and she has also lived in Seattle and in the four corners area. Marissa became interested in working in the veterinary field because of her passion and love for animals and her desire to do something fulfilling for herself and others. The thing that she loves most about working with animals is being able to give back to the loyal and loving companions who give so much to us. She says, “it’s the least we can do for beings that do so much to enrich our lives!” At home, she has a sweet yet sassy husky/shepherd, Loki. He is a very good boy but is the master of the temper tantrum, and he uses his good looks to get what he wants.
In her spare time, she enjoys reading, writing, hiking, camping, and cross stitch. She’s also a movie buff and a history nerd.
Megan
Megan moved to Steamboat in June 2023 and absolutely loves it. She loves to spend a lot of her time outside skiing, hiking, camping, and fishing. She loves to travel and loves photography as well.
She has many pets including a Husky named Willow, Breck, a Australian Shepard, Dobby, a Pitbull and Asper, a Catahoula.
Future plans for Megan are in the works, though she is excited to gain more knowledge and experience in the veterinary field.
Fun facts are that Megan has her fish conservatory and wildlife biology degree, she loves birding and has tons of knowledge about birds.
Ivy

Addy is originally from New England and graduated from the University of Vermont in 2021 with a bachelor’s degree in animal science, where she spent a lot of time working with dairy cows and skiing. Upon graduating she decided to move to Colorado to pursue ski patrolling and to gain experience working with beef cattle and horses. For the past 4 years she has worked as a ski patroller during the winters and worked as a large animal veterinary technician and a horse wrangler during the summer. She moved to Steamboat at the beginning of May and enjoys many outdoor activities Steamboat offers and is learning so much about small animal medicine and how to help our smaller furry friends.
“During my free time I love to ski as much as I can, mountain bike, trail run, hike and spend time on the lake, basically anything active outside. My family dog’s name is Crystal and I am very biased, but I think she is the best dog in the world! My future aspirations are to go to veterinary school and someday own a dairy cow!”
