While Pet Kare Clinic is a small-animal-clinic, Beth is actually a very avid horsewoman and showman. She rides and shows reigning horses, and rehabilitates orphaned or injured foals. She is happily married to her husband Jacob and is the loving owner of several horses, 4 dogs, and 3 cats on a wondrous 38 acres in our beautiful Colorado. Beth also has a passion for photography.
Holly joined the Pet Kare team shortly after moving to Steamboat in August 2015. She had been working in the veterinary field for 5 years, mostly as a receptionist, where she was raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was so immediately proficient and knowledgeable at our front desk that she became cross-trained as a vet tech shortly thereafter.
Outside of work, Holly spends all of her time with her vivacious 4-year-old little girl. They enjoy swimming, watching movies, and going to the park. When she gets the chance, Holly’s favorite pasttime is relaxing. She also enjoys skiing.
Whether charming clients with her bubbly personality at the front desk or running the show with fiery spirit in the back, she has become an indispensable member of our team.
Kassie joined the Pet Kare Clinic team in March 2016–her experience and positive attitude are a great asset! Kassie was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri, and migrated to Steamboat Springs in November 2015 to enjoy our mountain lifestyle. She attended Lindenwood University, earning a business degree, and then started working as a canine trainer. Soonafter, she worked at a clinic in Missouri as a technician-in-training, and moved on to run various aspects of that clinic. She also has experience in shelter medicine.
Outside of Pet Kare Clinic, she enjoys training police K9s, photography, and hiking with her dogs and husband. Her animals she cares for at home are two pitbulls (Trip & Hailey Jade) and a tank full o’ fish.
Lyn has been a veterinary technician for over 5 years and recently moved to Steamboat from New Hampshire. Her passion is to help and care for all animals. She particularly likes assisting in procedures and surgeries. To continue her education, Lyn loves to learn and go to seminars or participate in online courses.
Outside of Pet Kare, Lyn enjoys going on hikes, horseback riding, reading, kayaking, traveling with her boyfriend and spending time with her 2 cairn terriers BeBe and Harley.
Megan has worked at Pet Kare Clinic since July of 2013. She moved to Steamboat Springs from Summit County after 20 years in the veterinary field. Her past experience ranges from working as a veterinary technician to front desk and managing. At Pet Kare, you can find her at the front desk or in the back working hard as a technician. Her favorite aspect of working at the Pet Kare Clinic is the upbeat energy of the team.
A self-proclaimed “cat person”, Megan moved to the high country from Delaware in 2000 and never looked back. She lives in Steamboat II with her husband, two boys, her cat Butters, and her Chiweenie (Chihuahua/Dachshund mix), Radder. Megan loves the summer and spends most of her time mountain biking, camping and spending time with her boys. Her cat is locally famous for being one of Steamboat’s only “camping cats”. She also enjoys downhill, cross-country, and skate skiing.
